Yorkshire 3 Peaks

The Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge is the most popular mountaineering event in the UK, attracting thousands of people each year, in ever increasing numbers. The challenge consists of climbing the Yorkshire’s three highest mountains; the day starts and finishes at Horton-in-Ribblesdale. First we climb Pen-y-Ghent (691m), then off to Whernside (728m) and finally Ingleborough (723m) - most people try to achieve this within 12 hours. Over all the challenge involves almost 25 miles of walking across feature-less, boggy, moorland terrain.
The Yorkshire 3 Peak is a great adventure for you and your groups and it’s an a stepping stone to one of the more extensive challenges like the National 3 Peaks Challenge.

Choose Mountain Monkeys knowing that over 500 people have safely completed the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge with us. At Mountain Monkeys we operate a sustainable tourism policy and ensure all our adventures leave nothing but footsteps and stress the environment as little as possible. We plan and time our sessions to minimise environmental impact and as a company we support the Fix The Fells campaign. The Yorkshire 3 Peaks isn't easy - are you tough enough?

Yorkshire 3 Peaks Open Event is brilliant if you want to attempt the challenge yourself, or with a small group. Mountain Monkeys offers several weekends throughout the year that you can book on to.

Yorkshire 3 Peaks Event Option is for organisations or large groups. Want to raise money for your charity? What a branded, corporate event? At Mountain Monkeys we offer the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge as a branded event for your group, charity or company; supporting you from the initial concept to celebrating in the pub afterwards. We provide all instruction, support, advice, route planning and event insurance; plus safety equipment, mountain guides and walkie talkies for larger groups. Come to us and we will discuss numbers of expected participants, objectives of the event, advertising requirements, transport and accommodation; from this we can discuss the cost – which is usually at a discounted amount from the open event.
