The National 3 Peaks Challenge is the most popular mountaineering event in the UK, attracting thousands of people each year, in ever increasing numbers.  The challenge consists of climbing the UK’s three highest mountains; Ben Nevis 1344m (4409ft), Scafell Pike 978m (3209ft) and Snowdon 1085m (3560ft) – most people try to achieve this within 24 hours. Over all the challenge involves some 42 km (26 miles) of walking, with total distance travelled approaching 765 km (475 miles). The usual start is on Ben Nevis on the west coast of Scotland, then we drive to Scafell Pike in the Lake District, before heading off to Snowdonia to conquer Wales’ highest mountain. Why choose Mountain Monkeys?

 National 3 Peaks Open Event  is brilliant if you want to attempt the challenge yourself, or with a small group. Mountain Monkeys offers several weekends throughout the year, that you can book on to.  After completing the challenge we will stay in Llanberis for the night to debrief, celebrate and get some sleep! Price: £285 per person inc: Transport from/to Manchester, transport between the peaks, experienced Mountain Guides, safety equipment, accommodation in Fort William, evening meal and breakfast, breakfast at Penrith, ice-cream and a pint in Llanberis, a certificate and a picture CD of your triumph! Please note: We can arrange a night in Llanberis for extra costs. 

 National 3 Peak Event Option Want to take a big group on the challenge? Want to raise money for your charity? What a branded, corporate event? At Mountain Monkeys we offer the National 3 Peaks Challenge as a branded event for your group, charity or company; supporting you from the initial concept to celebrating in the pub afterwards. We provide all instruction, support, advice, route planning and event insurance; plus safety equipment, mountain guides and walkie talkies for larger groups. Come to us and we will discuss numbers of expected participants, objectives of the event, advertising requirements, transport and accommodation; from this we can discuss the cost – which is usually at a discounted amount from the open event.
